 Thank you for your interest in the Housing Authority of the City of East Orange’s housing programs. We maintain waiting lists for our housing programs according to Federal housing laws. Our online pre-application is an easy, step-by-step way to get your name entered in the selection for our Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list.
This application is for the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program lottery only. You must complete our online entry form in order to enter the selection. No in-person, paper entry forms will be accepted. You must complete the entire entry form in order for it to be valid. Once you have entered all of the required information, you will submit the entry form, receive a confirmation number, and have an opportunity to print your confirmation number for your records. Please note that receiving a confirmation number does not guarantee a spot on the waiting list as final aceptance will be generated from a random lottery drawing. The East Orange Housing Authority will only be accepting 600 applicants from that lottery pull. Winning lottery application confirmation numbers will be posted on the Web site at www.eoha.org. If your confirmation number is not listed on the website, please check back at a later date for new openings of our waiting list. Winners, please await a letter in the mail with further instructions on next steps. No calls will be accepted. Important: ONLY ONE entry form will be accepted per applicant. You must be at least 18 years old to submit an entry form. Entry forms for minors cannot be accepted. Before you begin the application, you must have the names, dates of birth, and Social Security Numbers available for all household members. You should also know the amount of income, assets, and expenses for each household member. |
